When manually entering mileage you are required to enter a post code for each of the locations you have stopped at during your business trips each day.
TMC uses Google Maps' database to validate the postcode entered. If you receive an error message stating the postcodes you have entered are not recognised, this is because the postcode is not recognised in the Google database. You can request for this to be added to Google.
The system will not be able to calculate the trip mileage if you trying to use unrecognised postcodes. Please enter the accurate mileage that you have completed during the trip. When you have entered the trip, you may be asked to enter a reason for the difference in the mileage total for the trip. If this is the case, please enter the reason stating the postcodes are not recognised. Alternatively, please enter a recognised postcode that is closest to the postcode you are attempting to enter.
If you are trying to enter a restricted postcode, the TMC system will not allow the postcode to be inputted. If this happens, please enter a non-restricted postcode that is closest to the postcode that you are trying to enter.
