If you need to close off, but have not completed any business miles in the month, you can complete a nil return. This will calculate the difference in odometer readings as entirely private miles.
Similar to the close off process, from the dashboard, either click 'Update Odometer & Close Off':
Or, from the 'Trip Summary' page, next to the current open period, click 'Choose Action', then on the drop down, 'Complete Nil Return'
Continue through the screens, clicking 'Complete Nil Return', then 'Close off month', you will be asked for the closing odometer reading of the vehicle(s) on your account.
Once you have entered a value, confirm you're happy with the number, and click 'Continue close off':
You will then see a closed period, with only private mileage entered:
