Split Rate Deduction

Modified on Wed, 16 Apr at 3:57 PM

Within the Deduct at AFR or Full Deduct Reimburse Mileage calculations, if you're in a Plug-In Hybrid vehicle, a split rate may be used to either deduct or reimburse you.

The specifics of the calculation you're in can be found by going to the 'Trip Entry' page (via 'Mileage Entry', on the far-left-hand-side), under 'Payroll Calculation'. Here, your split rate will be described exactly as is on your account.

The split rate will use a percentage or amount of your battery range, reimbursing you at the Advisory Electric Rate for the battery range, then the remainder of your day's mileage at the Advisory Fuel Rate.

For example, if you did 100 miles across a day, and you're in a PHEV that has a battery range of 43.

43 miles would be paid at the AER, then the remainder of the day's miles 57 paid at the AFR.
